Then it’s on to the charming fishing village of Shediac, known as the “Lobster Capital of the World.” Day 5 Moncton - Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island Today you leave New Brunswick behind and cross the Confederation Bridge to the “island cradled in the waves.” Next, arrive in charming Charlottetown, your home for the next two evenings. Day 6 Charlottetown The rolling landscapes of Prince Edward Island (PEI) were the backdrop of the acclaimed novel, “Anne of Green Gables.” Today you will visit the Anne of Green Gables Museum, the house in which Lucy Maud Montgomery lived and upon which she based her book. During your visit, you will meet with a local potato farmer and learn about the potato industry on PEI first hand as you help him with his crop. Then you head to the stunning beaches of Cavendish National Park and visit a wharf in Rustico, celebrated for its picturesque fishing boats and lobster traps. Tonight, visit Founders’ Hall, Canada’s Birthplace Pavilion. At this interesting heritage attraction, you will enter “The Time Travel Tunnel” to 1864 and learn about the origins of our neighbor to the north. Day 7 Charlottetown - Baddeck, Nova Scotia A morning ferry ride takes you back to beautiful Nova Scotia. From here you’ll cross the Canso Causeway onto Cape Breton Island. Enjoy a scenic drive along the pristine shores of Bras d''Or Lakes, Canada’s only inland sea. Later, you will be amazed by the variety of inventions at the Alexander Graham Bell Museum in Baddeck, where the brilliant inventor made his home. Day 8 Baddeck - Cabot Trail - Baddeck You are in for a treat this morning as you travel along the famous Cabot Trail, one of the most scenic drives on the Atlantic coast.
