Day 1
Overnight Flight Travel overnight to Portugal, one of Europe’s most hospitable countries. Here you can enjoy a superb climate, historic sites, and beautiful scenery. Day 2 Fatima, Portugal - Tour Begins Your tour begins in Fatima, Portugal’s world-famous religious center. Day 3 Fatima Join the local parishioners in celebrating Mass before exploring the Basilica to see the Tombs of Francisco and Jacinta and its grounds. Day 4 Fatima - Burgos, Spain Day 5 Burgos - Lourdes, France Mass is available before you travel northeast through the Pyrenees to Lourdes. This is where the Virgin Mary appeared in the Grotto of Massabielle to the poor shepherd girl, Bernadette, a total of 18 times between February 11 - July 16, 1858. This little market town has been a pilgrimage site of world renown ever since. Tonight you may wish to partake in a candlelight procession*. Day 6 Lourdes Day 7 Lourdes – Toulouse - Paris, France After breakfast, depart to Toulouse where you will board your flight to Paris. Upon arrival in Paris, you will transfer to the Shrine of the Miraculous Medal. View the incorrupt body of St Catherine Labouret whose guardian angel led her to the chapel where the Blessed Virgin displayed a vision of the miraculous medal and later the green scapular. The Virgin promised bountiful graces for all who wore these. Our sightseeing tour includes some of the most beautiful and important churches in the world such as Notre Dame Cathedral and Scare Cour, see the sights as the Eiffel Tower, L''Arc de Triomphe, and drive through the Champs Elysees. Day 8 Paris – Nevers – Paris Depart your hotel this morning and travel to Nevers. You will drive through the picturesque Loire Valley. After taking the veil in 1867, St Bernadette lived for 22 years as a member of the Congregation of the Sisters of Nevers. At least three times during her short lifetime, she received the last Sacraments. She was gradually struck by other illnesses as well as asthma: among them, tuberculosis of the lung and a tubercular tumor on her right knee. St Bernadete eventually died at the age of 35. See St. Bernadette''s incorrupt body at the convent of St Gildard miraculously preserved since her death in 1879. Tonight enjoy a farewell dinner enjoying delicious French cuisine and breathtaking views during dinner* at the Eiffel Tower. Day 9 Paris - Tour Ends

On day 2, your flight arrival should be no later than 4:00 PM. For a more leisurely paced program, a pre-night in Lisbon is highly recommended (additional cost). Breakfasts in Lourdes are Continental (CB). *In Fatima & Lourdes, available from Easter through the end of October, is the candlelight procession (every night at 9 P.M.) and the procession for the sick (every day at 3 P.M.). Single accommodations are limited and are available on a first come, first served basis. Air passengers that bought air from the tour operator will arrive into the Lisbon, Portugal airport. All transfers bought from the tour operator will depart from the Lisbon airport for Fatima. Itineraries include many activities and may consist of walking on uneven terrain or significant walking at times. Some of the most unique sightseeing can mean accessing locations that restrict motorcoaches, especially in historic areas. For your comfort, we recommend bringing walking shoes. |
